Fully Equipped for UK Compliance
Our workshop is fully equipped for UK homologation work and MOT issues. Alongside our in-house MOT lane, ShipMyCar is the UK's first official Vehicle Examination Facility for in-house IVA testing.
We prepare and modify IVA vehicles in our workshop, then present them for their DVSA-conducted test on our own lane. There is no need to transport your vehicle to a separate IVA test centre.
Our custom-developed systems manage your vehicle through our workshop, ensuring works are logged and any images are uploaded straight to your private portal for review.
Our 20,000 sq ft workshop allows us to process vehicles in-house.
IVA & MOT Modifications
When a car is imported into the UK, it will likely need modifications to conform with UK rules and, if under ten years old, to pass an IVA Test. These include:
